Call
for Posters & Demos
WMCSA seeks proposals
for posters and live demonstrations describing novel work on mobile
systems, applications and services. Posters and demonstrations will
be presented during an evening reception at the workshop. The poster/demo
session is meant to introduce new or ongoing work and provide opportunities
for authors to interact directly with conference attendees.
Posters are specially
suited for presenting controversial research directions that may
generate discussion, or promising ideas not yet validated through
extensive evaluation. Live demos provide an opportunity to give
the flavor of real-life applications made possible by your system.
(Please note that both research prototypes and commercial products
are welcome, but that WMCSA is not an appropriate forum for marketing
and sales teams. The person presenting the demo is expected to explain
the technical contributions of the system to the audience.)
Poster submissions must
include an extended abstract no longer than one 8.5x11-inch page,
including all figures and references. Posters must be submitted
electronically in an email message to the Poster Chair at mcorner
AT umass DOT edu. The subject line should read "WMCSA POSTER/DEMO
SUBMISSION" (in upper-case letters). The body of the email should
include, in pure text, the title of the poster and the author list,
including affiliations. The abstract should be attached in PDF format.
Demonstration submissions should include infrastructure needs, such
as power, network, and the like.
The extended abstracts
of accepted posters and demonstrations will be posted on the conference
website.
